Ciudad memoria

Memory City proposes to reflect on the City and its history through an anthology of texts that develop from the notion of palimpsest. It intertwines investigation and contributions of writers in the fields of history, art, architecture, urbanism, ethnology, archeology, politics, poetry, psychology and philosophy. 

These texts derive from a group of interventions realized between 2002 and 2012 in Mexico City by artist Luciano Matus. 

The tour integrates the intervention in the ex Temple of San Agustín (2002), the interventions in the Academy of San Carlos (2005 and 2007); the intervention in the Chapultepec Park (2007); the intervention of August 13, 2010 to the Stone of the Sun/Anthropology Museum; the intervention of October 2, 2011 in the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, the Chihuahua Building, the Foreign Teaching Languages' building (CELE), and the Tlatelolco Cultural Center; the intervention in the Zócalo on October 3, 2011; and the intervention in the National Art Museum (MUNAL), October 2012.
