Leon Golub

This publication covers the work of Leon Golub from the 1950s until his death in 2004, a work marked by accusation and provocation.

His visual sensibility and criticism were focused on building a pictorial world that would develop scenarios of conflict and explored emotional patterns of violence and reaction in the body of the subject. His narrations progressively became representations of bodily pain, in the scenarios of aggression and terror taking place from Vietnam up to South Africa.

This publication accompanies the retrospective exhibition that the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía presents at the Palacio de Velázquez.
